Today was Silas's first official field trip as a Spring Creek Beaver! Why did they have to pick to hottest day in October? I know that they couldn't have predicted the weather, but OMG was it hot!! Last night I was already starting to come down with this sinus stuff, and the heat today did nothing to help it...only made it worse. I'm surviving right now on a big swig of Dayquil...later will come the NyQuil!
There were a lot of parents that went along on the trip. Some took their own cars, but most of us rode the bus with the kids. We went to Mrs. Heather's Pumpkin Patch in Hammond. She definitley has a nice little set-up down there. The kids had a great time. I could've enjoyed myself a little more if it had been cooler. Andy got to meet us there and help Silas and Reece pick out their pumpkins.
(I know these next few are blurry, but they're too cute not to post.)
There were animals at the pumpkin patch...goats, sheep, a pig, turkey, cow, pony...and probably something else I'm forgetting!
I'm not sure why, but he was yelling at a pig in this picture.
Poor little pig...
There were lots of other things going on at the pumpkin patch!
After the pumpkin patch, we went to McDonald's. Needless to say, the kids ate about one McNugget before they had to rush to the indoor playground!
Oh, did I say indoor playground? Well, yeah, it was indoors, but you couldn't tell by the looks of the children. Either their air conditioning was broken or they just weren't turning it on because McDonald's has been hit by this economy, too!
Meredith couldn't go with us today, but we are going to take her to a pumpkin patch...probably the one in Osyka. However, it will be on a much cooler day!!
